The Role

VP of Finance

VUUDL Media Group is seeking an experienced and strategic leader to serve as the Vice President of Finance. As the VP of Finance, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial planning, analysis, and reporting, providing insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making and drive business performance. This role requires a combination of strong leadership skills, financial expertise, and business acumen.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide strategic leadership and direction for the finance function, including financial planning, analysis, accounting, treasury, and tax, to support the company's overall growth and objectives.

Develop and communicate a comprehensive financial strategy and roadmap, aligned with company goals, market trends, and industry best practices.

Lead financial planning and forecasting processes, including annual budgeting, quarterly forecasts, and long-range planning, collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop accurate and insightful financial projections.

Oversee the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, variance analyses, and key performance metrics, providing actionable insights and recommendations to senior management and business leaders.

Monitor and analyze key financial and operational metrics, trends, and performance indicators, identifying areas for improvement and efficiency gains to optimize business performance.

Manage financial risk, including cash flow management, working capital optimization, and investment strategies, ensuring compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements.

Lead financial due diligence for strategic initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions, partnerships, and investments, evaluating financial risks and opportunities to support decision-making and value creation.

Collaborate with external auditors, legal counsel, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, financial reporting standards, and tax obligations.

Serve as a key advisor to senior management and the board of directors on financial matters, providing insights, analysis, and recommendations to inform strategic decision-making and business planning.

Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the finance function, promoting best practices, professional development, and accountability.

Basic Qualifications

VP of Finance

    Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree preferred.

    Minimum of 12+ years of experience in finance leadership roles, with a proven track record of success in financial management, strategic planning, and business analysis.

    Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams and driving results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

    Excellent analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and quantitative analysis techniques.

    Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts to diverse audiences.

Nice To Have

VP of Finance

    CPA (Certified Public Accountant), CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst), or MBA (Master of Business Administration) designation.

    Experience working in the media, entertainment, or technology industry.

    Experience with mergers and acquisitions (M&A), corporate finance, or investment banking.

    Proficiency in financial planning and analysis (FP&A) software, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and business intelligence tools.

    Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and financial reporting standards.
